With regard to the new Hilux DX aimed at customers who prioritize employment, they are also equipped with the 2.4-liter Toyota 2GD engine and 6-speed manual transmission available in both 4 × 2 and 4 × 4 versions, and single cabin and double. The SRX and SRV versions with manual transmission have the iMT system or intelligent manual transmission. By pressing the iMT button in the center console, an indicator will appear on the multi-information display indicating that the system is active.

The system works by detecting gear changes (when the clutch is pressed and when the gearbox is selected) and automatically adjusts engine revolutions, providing a smooth and comfortable gear step.
